Promoting The Arts and Music In The Community

The mission of the Robert C. Boehmler Community Foundation is “to benefit the public charities and certain service entities in Wayne and Monroe counties of New York State, particularly the towns of Lyons, Palmyra, Sodus and the city of Rochester.  The focus of the grants is in the area of music and community enrichment.”

Foundation Board Members

Joseph Grymin has been a practicing Certified Public Accountant since 1972. Mr. Grymin has been involved in numerous charitable activities during his career, emphasizing youth activities and music. He has served on the Southeast YMCA Board of Directors and committees at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Pittsford. He is a performing musician and believes music and art are integral to the educational process.

Robert Pizzutiello has committed his time and energy to teaching and mentoring youth since his undergraduate years at the University of Rochester. As a professional medical physicist for over 40 years, he has been invited to give hundreds of lectures across the USA and internationally. Most recently, he created a residency program in Diagnostic Imaging Physics.

Pat Gorthy is a friend of Mr. Boehmler's, a former Newark teacher, and a Washington state native. She moved to Lyons in 1968, has three sons, and loves Lyons!

Anne Wick is a retired engineer living in Lyons on a permaculture homestead farm. In her spare time, she pursues her interests in history, community engagement, and dabbling in fiber arts and stained glass.
